Celebration of 74th Republic Day (Ganatantra Diwas)

Dasve Public School enthusiastically celebrated the 74th Republic Day on 26th January 2023 at Lavasa Dasve. It marks the day when the constitution of India came into effect making India an independent and sovereign Nation. Students assembled on the school ground and the school Principal Mrs. Snigdha Dhindsa warmly welcomed the chief guests Hon. Mr. Suresh Pendharkar (CEO – Lavasa Corporation Ltd) and Hon. Mr. Mrityunjoy Goswami (City Manager – Lavasa Corporation Ltd and Chairman –Dasve Public School). After the floral tribute, Mr Suresh Pendharkar unfurled the National flag to kick start the Republic Day celebration, saluting the flag followed by singing the National Anthem and Vande Mataram. Students proudly spoke about the Republic Day in all three languages. Grade 6th student Sambit Naik spoke in English. Kiran Bavdhane of 7th spoke in Marathi followed by Mansi Margale of 5th grade in Hindi.
Mr. Pendharkar and Mr Mrityunjoy Goswami addressed the audience which includes the students, teachers and large number of residents. They highlighted the importance of the day and about the emerging progress that India is stepping forward. Mr. Pendharkar emphasised the importance and value of time to the 10th grade students related to their upcoming board exams .They whole heartedly appreciated the principal and entire School staff for their consistent efforts and devotion that resulted in progressive development of school. Sharmila Kokare from grade 8th anchored the entire program.
Entire program was efficiently coordinated by P E teacher Sunil Dhondiyal and other teachers. After this activities were conducted in the School Main Hall to commemorate the day. Aadesh Bhagat of grade 7th dressed himself as Bhagat Singh and he narrated the famous dialogues of Bhagat Singh. Arya Margale of grade 7th dressed herself like Savitribai Phule and narrated her dialogues. It was followed by dance performance on patriotic song by grade 5th students.
Students of Grade 1st to 4th presented their dance performance on the previous day. The objectives of the activities was to instil a sense of patriotism in young minds which is one of the core values that needs to be imbibed and inculcated within students. Program ended with vote of thanks followed by refreshment. Everyone celebrated the day with love and patriotism in their heart which could be visible by their enthusiasm.
